FUTUREPROOF 2013 artists confirmed

The final selection of graduate artists exhibiting in FUTUREPROOF 2013 have been confirmed. Together with Street Level Photoworks in Glasgow, Peacock Visual Arts is very pleased to be able to show new photography and moving image from this year's Scottish degree shows. Opening on Friday 28 June at Peacock Visual Arts, 6 – 8pm and at Street Level Photoworks on Saturday 29 June 3 – 5pm.

FUTUREPROOF is a series of exhibitions organised by Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen and Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow, profiling up-and-coming artists from Scotland’s Photography and Electronic Media courses.
The Obsidian Isle heads to the Isle of Lewis

The Obsidian Isle a previous Peacock Visual Arts exhibition by Gayle Chong Kwan, heads to An Lanntair until the 6 July 2013 and includes a number of exhibition related events including an artist's talk and a young peoples' photographic workshop.

Peacock Visual Arts is proud once again to be the Scottish partner gallery of the Standpoint Futures Residency Programme. This offers artists working in Scotland the chance to spend a structured period of four to six weeks living and working in London, where Standpoint Gallery, an artists run gallery and studio complex in Hoxton, will, as well as providing studio and living accommodation, coordinate a programme of introductions to critics, curators and other artists. There is also the possibility of an exhibition at Standpoint and, after the residency, of working with Peacock Visual Arts to create further new work.
