An exciting opportunity for young people age 10 -15 to work closely with an artist to produce their own artwork and ultimately curate their very own exhibition this October. Curator Kulture is another positive scheme set up by Creative Identities, an initiative that uses money from the proceeds of crime which is then recycled back into the community for arts and cultural activities for young people. We are looking for an artist to lead Curator Kulture (young curators programme), 6 days of artistic experimentation, creation and curatorial creative thinking with a group of young people aged 10 – 15. We are looking for workshop proposals in any medium which detail how the artist will guide the group in creating and curating work for exhibiting in Peacock’s main gallery space. As part of the sound festival, port-royal will be performing in Peacock's intimate gallery on 24 Oct at 8pm, with support from Ten and Sumisu-mi. Hailed as the next evolution in post-millenial post-rock, the band's music emphasizes instrumentals over lyrics; a style resembling other instrumentally focused bands, such as Mogwai and M83.
