New printmaking projects

13 April 2006

As well as collaborating with the artists in Word Order Peacock’s printmakers are working with the three artists involved in the exhibition Crystal Grey (till 6 May at Peacock and then travelling to SAFN gallery, Reykavik). Alan Johnston is making a new etching: Ragna Róbertsdóttir prints Icelandic lava-stone, both as an embossment and with black ink and Seán Shanahan’s print involves constructing a metal framework with which to ‘brand’ the paper.

A number of other artists have accepted invitations to make new prints at Peacock. These include photographers and film makers Dalziel + Scullion, sculptors David Blyth, Kenny Hunter, Wilhelm Scherübl and Michael Visocchi, Rosalind Nashashibi (best known for her film making), photographer Phillipe Bazin and, no stranger to Peacock, Frances Walker.

Watch out for more information about these projects as they develop.
