Book about begging by New Social Art School

The first publication by New Social Art School is out now. Artists Eva Merz and Bob Steadman interviewed 12 beggars on the streets of Aberdeen to hear their stories.

'Get a fucking job. The truth about begging' addresses the contentious issue of begging in the city of Aberdeen. The street people interviewed in the book tell it like it is, who they are, how they survive and how they perceive themselves in the city.

Alejandra Rodriguez-Remedi (researcher at Gray's School of Art) says:" This important volume will doubtless stimulate reflection and debate at all levels and make required reading for all those egaged in the construction and implementation of meaningful, effective courses of transformative action.
