Chairman Michael Heaney hands the cheque to 360tv coordinator Jack Keenan

Peacock Visual Arts is delighted to have received sponsorship from the Castlehill & Pittodrie Community Council for the project 'ViewFinder'. The funds will be a great help in making The 'ViewFinder' an exciting and dynamic season of events that will attract people from all walks of life to take part.

The central aim of ViewFinder is to engage and encourage young people to participate in a series of practical workshops which will deliver hands-on training of the tools and equipment used in film and TV production. A series of discussions will explore questions of media representation and the evolution of the viewer from 'passive' spectator to 'empowered' participant.

Chairman Michael Heaney from Castlehill & Pittodrie Community council offered a cheque of £500. The council is known for their ongoing support of cultural projects in the area.
