ViewFinder presents: Visit Dungavel: Monster of the Glen. A film by Camcorder Guerillas, about what it is like to be a refugee locked up in Dungavel, Scotland’s only detention centre.
Camcorder Guerillas is a Glasgow-based voluntary collective of independent, radical filmmakers, activists and artists. The film will be introduced by members of the collective.
The film is part of the ViewFinder programme, but also links to the exhibition Home Office Values, by photographer Robin Taudevin, currently on show at Peacock Visual Arts.

There is a human rights crisis in Scotland. Hundreds of asylum seekers are being thrown out of their flats onto the streets of Glasgow and left destitute. They are in limbo, banned from taking jobs, unable to return to their home country, prey to violence and abuse. Even the police are shocked. - Camcorder Guerillas
