28thThursday 31 Aug: Films + Artist's Talk by Stuart Gurden

Have you seen the exhibition 'Awl-love' but do you want to know more? Or would you like to see the exhibition and hear about the artist's inspiration at the same time? Come to Peacock visual arts this Thursday at 6pm, when Stuart Gurden screens some of his earlier video work and related short films and tells you about his ideas for Awl-love. 1stMary Ferguson awarded 2006 RSA / Peacock Moving Image Award

Peacock visual arts is proud to announce that this year's winner of the Royal Scottish Academy/Peacock visual arts Moving Image Award is Mary Ferguson. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, we look forward to supporting and working with Mary over the coming year.

9thSuzanne Lacy: from Venice beach to Fittie

This summer American artist Suzanne Lacy did a house swop with Peacock's director Lindsay Gordon. She left her home on Venice Beach, LA, to spend 5 weeks in the historic Aberdeen fishing neighbourhood of Footdee (pronounced Fittie). Lacy is currently doing research at Gray's School of Art, laying out critical questions on ‘public art now’.

15thThe Cowboy and the Spaceman travel down south

The Peacock visual arts exhibition 'The Cowboy and the Spaceman' is currently touring around the UK. After North Uist, the exhibition and film by Orkney artist Colin Kirkpatrick are on show next at the Ffotogallery in Cardiff, South Wales.
