2ndSun 8 April: Visit Dungavel: Monster of the Glen

ViewFinder presents: Visit Dungavel: Monster of the Glen. A film by Camcorder Guerillas, about what it is like to be a refugee locked up in Dungavel, Scotland’s only detention centre. Camcorder Guerillas is a Glasgow-based voluntary collective of independent, radical filmmakers, activists and artists. The film will be introduced by members of the collective. Location: Belmont Picturehouse.
10thWednesday 11 April: Independent Filmmakers workshop
Acclaimed director Steven Lewis Simpson will be talking about all aspects of film production at our second Independent Filmmakers evening on Wednesday 11 April, 6.30pm. Steven has kindly stepped in to replace Lee Hutcheon, who has had to postpone his talk in order to allow him to concentrate on the edit of his soon to be released film 'the Clan'. We hope to be able to announce a new date for Lee's masterclass very soon.
13thWednesday 18 April: Global Exposure

ViewFinder presents 'Global Exposure', a discussion about how a new generation are getting themselves heard. The panel will include three representatives from organisations Docspace, Radio Magnetic, Lets Go Global and FCUM TV. Starts at 6.30pm. Admission free.

In the coming months, we are running weekend classes in Relief printing and Screenprinting. Costs are £90 or £75 concessions for the full weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm.
23rdDuncan Hart shows new work in solo show

How to express, or even grasp and pin down, one's inner life, is a fundamental question in the diverse work of local artist Duncan Hart. For this exhibition Duncan will show new paintings, drawings, and video pieces exploring the relationship between feelings, emotions and physical sensations. Opening Friday 4 May, 6-8pm. The exhibition runs from 5 May - 16 June.
