31stBrian Ross - painting live at Peacock

Aberdeen-based artist Brian Ross is working hard to finish his giant Japanese knotweed-style mural on the gallery walls of Peacock Visual Arts. Come and see the artist at work daily from 15 January - 2 February and join us at the closing party on Friday 1 February, 6 -8pm, admission free.

14thRoger + Reid - Our new pair of resident artists discover Tilly!

The next Partners resident artists in Tillydrone, Graeme Roger and Kevin Reid, have now started. The two have been working collaboratively as ‘ROGER & REID' for over four years now. During their stay in Tillydrone and the surrounding communities they plan to seek out like-minded individuals with the outlook of collaborating on a North East 'goon show' style radio slot, films and sketches and a possible rock opera. So if you see two wee hairy guys with cameras and microphones snooping around the neighbourhood fear not! it's only ROGER & REID.

18thSat 26 Jan: VICTORY clubnight

On Saturday 26 January we present Victory, a groovy clubnight in Peacock's gallery featuring deejay A LA FU and visual entertainment by Jon Reid and David Sievwright. Doors open 10pm Admission free.

21stLive music @ the gallery Sun 27 Jan: Anni Rossi

A foot stompin', viola playing force of nature... Anni Rossi is a startlingly fresh musician from Illinois who has been leaving audiences agog with her unique blend of classical virtuosity, ramshackle percussion and vocal acrobatics. Doors open 8pm, tickets on the door £5.

22ndCineclub 29 Jan: Pasolini's Oedipus

This year Peacock introduces Cineclub; a new monthly film screening on Tuesdays offering you a fantastic range of eclectic films rarely seen in cinemas, in partnership with the Centre for Modern Thought. The first one in the series is Oedipus by Pier Paolo Pasolini (Edipo Re/1967). Tuesday 29 January. Starts7pm, admission free.

28thSat 2 Feb: Beaches of the Proud

Fans of Sigur Ros, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Mogwai, Mum, Godspeed you Black Emperor! and Explosions in the Sky...don't miss this! Vocoustics presents a night of semi-improvised folk-electronica complete with visuals in the unique atmosphere of Peacock's gallery. Doors open 8pm, tickets on the door £5.
