5th28 January: No More Soundchecks. Live music at the gallery

Come along on Thursday 28 January for a night of live music in our intimate gallery. Interesting Music Promotions and Vocoustics present NO MORE SOUNDCHECKS - an evening of unplugged performances featuring Withered Hand + Debutant. Withered Hand is the musical project of Edinburgh-based visual artist Dan Willson; Debutant is the solo project of Phillip Quirie, formerly of Kartta in Aberdeen and now of Meursault in Edinburgh. Tickets on the door £5. Doors open 8pm.
8thGrants of up to £1500 available for local artists

Aberdeen City Council in partnership with the Scottish Arts Council is pleased to announce the launch of the Aberdeen Visual Arts Award Scheme for 2010. They aim to support the development of Aberdeen based visuals artists by awarding grants towards the creation of new work. In addition it is hoped that these awards encourage artists to remain in the city to achieve the the vision of Aberdeen becoming a ‘vibrant, cosmopolitan and internationally acclaimed creative city’.
