Hlysnan is a collaborative project between choreographer Claire Pençak, dancer Merav Israel and visual artist Norman Gibson. An abstract geometric installation of suspended lines and circles creates a dynamic space for the dancer to inhabit.
We catch fleeting glimpses of movement in reflective materials that gives the sense of deeper places. Soaring lines accentuate the aerial heights. The dancer passes in between, spinning and suspending time through her movement. Hlysnan is a quiet work of delicate detail and savoured moments, where each shift in the body, in space, in light, becomes an event...
