Locale 3. Danger Museum
05 August - 22 October, 2005
LOCALE residencies give artists and public the opportunity to engage in collaborative projects that explore aspects of life in Aberdeen. After Sans Façon and Steven Duval, Danger Museum are the third and last residents of this project.

Danger Museum choose the Beatles as a way to get to know people in Aberdeen, because they are so widely known that almost everyone has an opinion about them.
The project developed through talks and film screenings in our main gallery. Visitors were welcome while the gallery served as the studio space for the artists.
As they got to know Aberdeen they aimed to create a local version of the iconic album cover of Sgt. Pepper’s. The main gallery changed as they developed the studio set for An Clar Glas (The Grey Album), their Aberdonian take on the Sgt. Pepper’s cover, featuring life-size cut-outs of the gallery’s audience and iconic features of Aberdeen life.
