Moe Bowstern has been a sometime deckhand since 1986, fishing mostly aboard small boats and skiffs around Kodiak Island, Alaska. For ten years she has chronicled her adventures in her ‘fanzines’ Xtra Tuf and Second Set Out. In the precarious straddle of these two worlds of fishing and art, she brings to light the songs and stories of America's vanishing fishing fleets. The exhibition includes her publications, audio recordings of her storytelling and other bits and pieces from the sea...
