His film, Please Rewind Me later (2007) will be screened as part of the Cruel Weather film festival programme (6pm, 31st October at Peacock Visual Arts).
The masterclass takes a look at alternative video practice. It aims to explore layers, memory and surfaces from the perspective of digital image making.
Incorporating texts from diverse sources such as magical practices, poetry, contemporary thinking and provocative footage, Roy explores the theme of digital imaging technology as being the ultimate mimicry of human behaviour.
Experience: This workshop is aimed at independent filmmakers and video artists, film students and recent graduates.
