Jacques Coetzer. Weekend Cathedral
08 May - 19 June, 2010
Preview Night Friday 7 May, 6-8pm, ALL WELCOME!!!

Findlater Castle, Cullen
On twelve weekends, over a span of six months, Jacques Coetzer pitched a small tent in the open landscape of the Scottish Highlands. Coetzer's journey in his one-man cathedral is documented in twelve stunning large-scale digital images which will be showcased in the gallery along with a replica of the original tent.
Distancing homself from suburbia and people, Coetzer sought solitude and peace.
"I wished to meditate in the company of nature and God. Sitting next to my one-man cathedral, I felt the wind, rain, snow and sunlight on my face".
Coetzers journey made him feel at peace knowing that he is part of an earth population of six and a half billion.
