Atopia Journal 4.99 Manifesto: Osaka Posters
27 January - 24 February, 2007

Atopia Projects is an arts organisation (directed by Scottish writer Gavin Morrison and artist Fraser Stables) that initiates curatorial and publishing projects. In 2006 Atopia released a set of eight posters in conjunction with Osaka Contemporary Art Center (Japan), collectively connecting art, creativity, socio-political concerns, action and participation.
The project was part of the initiative Osaka Arts Kaleidoscope (2005): a city-wide exhibition that involved eight Osaka-based non profit organizations (NPOs). The NPOs included theatres, dance companies and galleries.
Exhibited across the world the posters will be on display from 27 January in Peacock’s reception area. Copies of the set will be available for £5.
