Ages 10-15

Anyone who has been to one of our previous workshops is very welcome to join in, as well as any curious beginners. Students will make their own characters out of plasticene, experimenting with the equipment to make their own animated film or series of short films.

All budding filmmakers will receive their film on DVD in the post shortly after the class.

There is a maximum of 6 people per class, so please book early!

Dutch artist, musician and film animator Hisko Hulsing will show and talk about a selection of his work from the start of his career to the present including the multi award winning Junkyard and his latest project Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck which has just premiered to huge acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival.

Join us for the opening of In Motion Animation Festival 2015, where you will get the first look at the exhibition.

This second, much anticipated, edition of In Motion Animation Festival will focus on the work of Dutch artist Hisko Hulsing, creator of the multi-award winning Junkyard. Hulsing will be exhibiting a collection of his development sketches, storyboards, paintings, and films.

Join us for a relaxed evening of short films and drinks with fellow animation and film fans!

We have invited animators and filmmakers to submit their short films, which will be screened at Peacock Visual Arts in an informal setting.

Submission Guidelines

We are looking for short stop-motion animated films (preferably no longer than 10 minutes). Entries will be combined and screened in the Peacock Visual Arts main gallery during an informal event, which will form the grand finale of In Motion 2015. After all films are screened the audience will choose their favourite short, and the winner will be presented with our ‘prestigious and shiny’ Golden Rowie Award!
